Allow yourself to make mistakes and be open about your weaknesses.

We are all human, we make mistakes, that is part of being human. But for many of us we can find ourselves holding ourselves up to perfectionism, when in reality there is no such thing as perfect. The media have helped to skew our reality and make us believe that if we don’t act or behave in a certain way we are not perfect. I say to you, you are perfect just the way you are. Allowing ourselves to admit we make mistakes, saying we are truly sorry, seeking forgiveness and most importantly forgiving ourselves is what we need to do. Showing our weaknesses doesn’t make us less perfect in fact it makes us more perfect. It shows a sign of maturity to admit we can’t do something and to ask for help when we need it.
