When we start out to get what we want in life or at work we use a persistent approach to gain momentum and get what we want. After that, we need a bit of consistency to keep it.
Being consistent with that new change we have made means we can keep what it is we have achieved. In order to be consistent, we need to make sure we schedule time into our days. This will ensure we keep whatever it is kept going and ensure we put in the effort we need into our lives to keep a life/work balance.
