Often when we are hurt, we start to wear a suit of armour. We use this armour to defend ourselves, to block the pain. After the battle has passed we need to get help, learn that it’s okay to take off the armour and stop defending ourselves. It doesn’t mean we don’t keep our boundaries, but we learn that we can hold our boundaries and not have to wear the armour anymore.
