If you have struggled with procrastination you’ll know how hard it is to focus on anything. Learning to focus your energies on only one thing at a time will help. Make a list of essential tasks and then do only one thing at a time off that list. The essential list should only include what you are responsible for, not what others are responsible for. Work your way through the list one item at a time and no more. You can only do so much, so give yourself a break when you feel guilty about not doing more. Your list will reduce much more quickly if you do this, as you won’t be pulled in too many different directions to get other things done at the same time. Remember, we can only do one thing at a time in order for that one thing to be done well. Build this habit daily and let others take care of their stuff.
