This isn’t appropriate and you are perfectly entitled to protect yourself and hold them accountable. But don’t take it personally all the time either. Remove yourself from the situation if you need to. Let them rant on to an empty room, then approach them when it’s safe. Allow them to apologize and explain what is really going on.
