Today begin what you have been putting off. Ask yourself if not today then when. We can distract ourselves very nicely when we want to and fail to get things done. It’s usually because we are afraid or we don’t like the mundane chores we have to do everyday. For the mundane things I set aside a time slot and get them done and over with asap in my day. This frees me up to do others things I’m interested in. Another way is to do one thing on the ist and then reward yourself with something you like. A carrot and stick approach if you like.
When fear comes into play we have to examine what it is we are afraid of. Is it being successful? Sometimes it might not be the fear of failure that hold s us back but the fear of succeeding. When we succeed we have to face a new reality, we have stepped out of comfort zone. So for today know that it is okay to just begin, to take that small step towards what you want.
